Camp Sunshine is passionate about creating a memorable experience with many opportunities for campers. We will never refuse someone from camp because of a financial hardship. We trust that you will give your very best to give what you can give and we will do the same.
COST OF CAMP
The cost for a camp/counselor pair to attend camp is $1,000. We fundraise throughout the year to gather $700 of this expense for each camper-counselor pair and ask that camper covers $300. This $300 can be paid in a lump sum or in incremental payments if necessary. If payments are not possible, please complete the scholarship form below. We WILL find a way!
Please read through the following options to see if any of these options apply to you.
Does camper have a current IEP?
- Michigan Council for Exceptional Children (MCEC) offers an opportunity for students to apply for funding (up to $250) to attend a summer camp in Michigan. These camperships are open to students with an active IEP, in need of financial support, and would otherwise not have an opportunity for a summer camp experience. Applications can be found here. Note: Due in March (see website for specific date).
Do you have a partnership with any respite services like MOKA, Network 180, Community of Mental Health, churches/community partners?
- If so, have your caseworker contact the office at: email@example.com
Would the cost of camp be affordable if you could make payments over time versus a lump sum?
- If so, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a payment plan.
If the above options are not applicable to you and you would like to apply for a scholarship, you will have the opportunity to do so during the registration process! Please note: scholarships are determined on a year-by-year basis. the same amount is not guaranteed consecutive years.
